My art is graphic works on canvas, wood and paper.
Monochrome graphics became the starting point, revealing to me the expressive power of black and the potential of white. Now I am exploring the synthesis of black and white and color graphics, striving for their mutual enrichment.
As a traveling artist, I observe the cultural exchange and traditions of different regions.
The series "Achromatic neural networks", created in the Himalayas, reflects the contrast between archaism and modernity, where the traditional way of life coexists with universal digitalization. The Nepalese series "Between Mountains and Lakes" absorbed the colorfulness of this country. And the Goan series "Microcosm of a grain of sand" was born when I watched the rays of the morning sun pass through a grain of sand and, reflecting, create a multi-colored fractal micro universe that can be seen simply by defocusing your gaze.
Joint creativity is another aspect of my practice. Spontaneous brushstrokes applied by other people become the starting point for improvisation, turning into images in a dialogue between chance and control, intuition and rationality.
The monotype technique, which underlies my work, is important as a way to capture the "trace" of an object, giving the works authenticity and liveliness. This "artistic document" balances fantasy and documentary in the works.
My style is distinguished by a unique set of expressive techniques: a combination of optical illusions and collage; texture, ornament, detailing and empty space. The influence of Escher can be seen in spatial distortions, and Aubrey Beardsley - in laconic spots of black and stylization of images and details.
Combining opposing elements and techniques, I strive for a "golden mean" in contrasts, which reflects the spirit of metamodernism.
Art makes you look at eternal questions: who am I and why am I here?
And I get answers in the process of creating paintings, so there is nothing more interesting than getting to know yourself more deeply through creativity.
